ABOUT THE ALBUM
Bobby Hutcherson's last CD for Kind of Blue Records - "For Sentimental Reasons", was the label's all time best seller. Now, the number one vibe player returns with "Wise One", inspired by the music of John Coltrane, this time for spiritual rather than sentimental reasons. Recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA in February 2009 with San Francisco musicians Anthony Wilson - guitar, Joe Gilman - piano, Glenn Richman - bass, Eddie Marshall - drums. Tracks: Wise One, Like Sonny, Aisha, Equinox, All Or Nothing at All, Nancy (With the Laughing Face), Spiritual, Out of This World, Dear Lord.
