ABOUT THE ALBUM
Originally released in 1986, Tango Zero Hour is considered the Argentinean tango master's single greatest album. Recorded with Piazzolla's legendary quartet in New York, it showcases timeless "nuevo tango" tunes such as "Tanguedia III" and "Michelangelo '70." with a current resurgence in the popularity of Piazzolla's music - as evidenced by recent releases by Gidon Kremer, Yo-Yo Ma and others - this reissue (sporting new packaging and liner notes) is well timed.
