ABOUT THE ALBUM
The last year has seen many recordings devoted to Astor Piazzolla's brand of Argentinian tango, but none has sparked as dramatic an international response as Kremer's Homage a Piazzolla, which sold over 125,000 units in it's first 6 months, capturing a Grammy nomination in the process. His 2nd volume of Piazzolla material features the newly-dubbed Astor Quartet, guitarists Sergio and O'Dair Assud and Milva (the vocalist most closely associated with Piazzolla's music). This release precedes Kremer's 1st Piazzolla U.S. tour.
