Appassionata

In this recording, Gianluca Cascioli explores Beethoven through a dialogue between an historical instrumentand the musical text itself. Drawing on original sources and contemporary accounts, he seeks neither recon-struction nor tradition, but a renewed understanding of the works' inner logic. From the dramatic architectureof the 'Appassionata' to the visionary language of Op. 109 and the concentrated poetry of the Bagatelles Op.126, these performances aim to reveal Beethoven's music with freshness, clarity and expressive depth.
