ABOUT THE ALBUM
Following requests from many customers for this beautifully new recording of contralto Nathalie Stutzman singing Vivaldi, it is being released in Australia for the first time. Here she is singing Vivaldi arias with bravura and passion. In fact for all those who admire Cecilia Bartoli's stunning and award-winning "Sacrificium" CD, this is a portrait of the rivals of those castrati - the female contraltos. Stutzman both sings and directs this program with the period-instrument ensemble Orfeo 55. The recording includes four world-premieres. From raging fury to idyllic contemplation, this is a remarkable collection sure to win many fans.
