For more than four decades, Benny Green has been celebrated as one of jazz's definitive trio pianists. With Renovation, his first live solo piano recording, Green embraces the freedom of the unaccompanied format while drawing on a lifetime of experience alongside Betty Carter, Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Ray Brown, and Oscar Peterson. Recorded live at Dizzy's Club in New York City, the 13-track program features original compositions alongside music by Bobby Timmons, Randy Weston, Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Matt Dennis, and Tom Adair.
