Holly

2019 release. Sultry pop-jazz vocalist Holly Cole has for more than two decades been one of the most acclaimed, successful, and adventurous new generation jazz singers. She is able to deliver impeccable, sensuous, spirited renditions of pop standards but has also done jazz interpretations of singer-songwriters (even Tom Waits), country, and alternative rock songs, which have gained her an audience beyond the usual jazz audience. Holly, her highly-anticipated album is her first studio album in six years; it has been nominated for a Juno Award (the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy), on it's release in Canada. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Russ Titelman (Rickie Lee Jones, Ry Cooder), Holly is a deeply-satisfying set of fresh takes on jazz standards, ranging from a funkified "Your Mind is On Vacation" to a dreamy "Everybody Loves Somebody" to a beguiling "Lazy Afternoon."
