Too Marvelous for Words

Count Basie was one of the most recorded musicians of the swing era. His band included musicians who were to change the direction of jazz: drummer Jo Jones, bassist Walter Page and vocalist JImmy Rushing, to name a few. Throughout the years, John Hammond continured to use Basie sidemen and the Baise rhythms section, and this release is a must for jazz lovers. Track highlights include: "Shoe Shine Boy," "Lover Man," "Georgia Mae," "Squeezze Me," and more!
