My Inspiration-Music Of Brazil

HIs latest Brazilian excursion finds Charlie Byrd enchanted as ever by bossa nova's charms and equally convinced of the style's ability to adapt to new forms. Byrd proves the resilience of the idiom by expanding bossa's boundaries to accommodate tunes rooted in the European classical tradition, Brazilian folk music, and even Dixieland. After haldf a lifetime and more than a dozen albums devoted to a style that's become and enduring a fondly regarded part of the golbal music scene, Charlie byrd proves once again why he's one of the few true non-Brazilian masters of bossa noval.
