ABOUT THE ALBUM
Still Dancin' is the second release for the Michael O'Neill Quintet featuring Kenny Washington following the 2005 CD - the Long and the Short of It - which received great critical acclaim. The new release also features guest star Joe Locke on vibes, who simply "plays-his-ass-off" on 7 of the 10 cuts on the CD. The material is mostly hard-hitting, straight ahead arrangements of timeless standards - each a carefully consider setting for Kenny Washington's unique vocals. The title cut is a burning original composition by Michael O'Neill on which each musician is allowed complete freedom to take their solo wherever they like.
