French Trios

Anneleen Lenaerts presents French Trios, the captivating new album also featuring the acclaimed Timothy Ridout (viola) and Adam Walker (flute). This album is the first in a triptyque dedicated to French music. Through the unique combination of harp, viola, and flute, the trio breathes new life into the evocative works of French and Belgian masters. The album features gems from the repertoire including Debussy's Sonata for Flute, Viola & Harp and a lush arrangement of his Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune in a brand new arrangement, alongside Ravel's Sonatine en trio and Ma mère l'oye. Completing the programme are a selection of lesser-known delicate miniatures by Vierne, Ibert, and Jongen, each piece selected to showcase these three exceptional soloists. Captured at the Casino Baumgarten in Vienna, French Trios is a carefully curated journey, an invitation to pause, reflect, and surrender to the timeless elegance of the French chamber tradition.
