Guardame Las Vacas

This recording approaches Antonio and Hernando de Cabezón's music through a creative pertorming concept. Rather than presenting the two composers works as self-contained keyboard pieces, the artists placed them in dialogue with their vocal and instrumental models. Original chansons and songs, newly improvised diminutions and Cabezón's own glosas intertwine, revealing a fascinating interplay between composition, ornamentation and improvisation.
