Bob Bert has been involved in the New York visual arts and underground music communities since the late 70s. His book, I'm Just The Drummer: My Time Behind Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Chrome Cranks, & BB Gun Magazine (Hozac Books) is a testament to his interconnectedness. He is one of the key figures that bridged the gap between No Wave and Noise Rock, forging a drumming style completely his own; as comfortable playing oil cans and sheet metal from the junkyard as he is a full drum kit. Beach Bongo Bloodbath is Bob Bert's first true solo record; a record like you've never heard before.
