2012 collection, the second installment in the Northern Soul Collector series. 26 tracks popularized on the UK all-nighter scene from it's heyday in the 1970's to the current "Weekender" generation. The songs originate from the golden era of Soul music spanning over a decade from Billy Hambric's R&B blaster "Flaming Mamie" in 1962 to Loleatta Holloway's anthem "Mother of Shame" in 1973. This heavyweight collection represents much loved classics from Northern Soul's heritage - Gene Chandler's "Mr. Big Shot" and Cathy Saint's "Big Bad World" - plus rarities from Danny Owens and the current in-demander from Clarence Murray: "Let's Get on with It".
