Both these terms could have easily applied to Annihilator and it's mastermind, lead guitarist and songwriter Jeff Waters. A fan of both speed metal and classic rock, the Canadian emphasized a flair for both. The fresh invention of Waters' guitar work was a major reason why Annihilator got off to a promising start and have survived to the present, with a dozen or more albums under their belts.
