ABOUT THE ALBUM

Best-known for his searing, assertive guitar solos and dynamic showmanship, the great Freddy King was a forceful presence and formidable figure in two of the most prominent blues epicenters: Texas and Chicago. An innovative instrumentalist and underrated singer, in the early and mid-1960s King was one of the most influential blues musicians, particularly for British and European audiences. This essential LP collector's edition contains 19 remastered studio tracks, consisting of a selection of the fabulous early singles Freddy King made for Federal Records between 1960 and 1962, the material upon which Freddy King's legend was built.
