ABOUT THE ALBUM

Christ, Lord. Non-threatening asexual male models play music to make your lover go wild. The second in its series of series of live recordings from Criminal Records is a riotous 12" vinyl release by the Atlanta ensemble Christ, Lord. Paste Magazine writes, "The EP was recorded during an energetic in-store performance in September [of 2012]. The six-piece band combines the sounds of traditional drum and electric guitar beats with a mix of mandolin, tuba, trumpet, accordion and upright bass to produce an erupting eclectic sound." This recording fully encapsulates what is best about an in-store show as it features this bold and energetic band at the height of their macabre ferocity. Although it is only six songs long, by the end of side A the songs will feel as familiar as if they were old lullabies, while the flipside is off the rails from the start continuing through to the raucous climax of "Saraghina," leaving the listener longing for a full studio album. Christ, Lord will be be returning to the Criminal Records stage (along with von Grey and Mood Rings) to celebrate Record Store Day on April 20th, 2013.
