Pee Wee Ellis, known as the architect of the James Brown Sound- is again looking into his jazz roots and selected his favorite Duke Ellington related tunes to. He choose to record this dedication with an an amazing pianist, Danny Grissett. Ellis is really one of the strongest tenor players around and again shows what he learned from his mentor Sonny Rollins as a young student in the late fifties.
