Blues Hall of Fame harmonica master Pete Karnes played with many of the Legends, Big Walter Horton, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Robert Lockwood, J.B. Hutto, Lightning Slim - you can hear the authenticity in his voice and playing. I've been enjoying listening to Pete's latest recording. I still remember the good ol' days when we would play together when he lived in Portland. So, if you like straight ahead, no-nonsense, blue-collar, low down harp blues you'll enjoy Pete's harp and vocals on this recording like I do. I liked the one dedicated to Rayma and the latin instrumental reminded me a lot of Big Walter. -Charlie Musselwhite.
