ABOUT THE ALBUM
Thankyou for checking out my music! I've worked hard at these songs for the past 37 yrs! Now, just like my children, my songs must be set free to establish their own identity. I am a native of Cincinnati Ohio and have lived many places around these beautiful United States of America. My music is inspired by an intimacy with nature, the earth, old spiritual places, family, friends and my professional pursuits of Physical Therapy, Nordic Ski Instruction and White Water Raft Guiding. Now that I've learned how to do 'get this done' I plan on making a CD every year. I so much enjoyed the process of recording with Mark Richardson of Alchematic Studios in Minocqua,Wisconsin and meeting some exceptionally good musicians and people of Northern Wisconsin: Ed Willett, Scott Kirby, Danny Lincoln, Maurice Murphy, Pete Stoltman, Nathan Sitzman, Dave Lynch, Andy Noyes, Stevie Matier and Nathan Iltis. For the past 25 years my husband and I have lived and raised our children in the very supportive communities of 'The Northwoods of Wisconsin' in 'The Lakeland Area' in the middle of the largest State Park in Wisconsin, 'The Northern Highlands American Legion State Park' This area is comprised of one of the highest concentrations of kettle lakes (made when the glaciers receeded) in the world! Swimming in these lakes is amazing! Anyway, I love and appreciate this area and it's people and I hope to 'give back' to this community by contributing profits as able to the following organizations: Lakeland Nordic Ski Team, North Lakeland Elementary Education Foundation, Camp Manito-Wish YMCA Camperships, Minocqua Winter Park, Boulder Jucntion Community Church and Juvenile Diabetes Research for a cure. If my music goes 'big' I hope to help support a more efficient Train transportation system in this country. Enough Computer stuff....Let's go outside and exercise! Sincerely, Sharon Iltis.
