What Love Does

I have lived my entire life with a feeling towards music that I could never put into words. Music has always been a huge part of my life- I've been listening and singing along since I was very young. I remember when my parents would put on some of their music in our living room and I would constantly get up in front of everyone on the fireplace to give performances. Actually this was last week. No I'm joking. I started playing piano in the fourth grade until I transitioned over to playing the guitar and the drums in the fifth grade. I started writing music at that time as well - it came to me and felt right. My whole life I have wanted to write and perform music and now I am finally getting the chance to do that. My first CD 'What Love Does' is out now, and you can purchase it at cdbaby.com. The songs on the album are mainly about love; they revolve around the up's and the down's of love. There are also songs on the record about keeping hold of yourself and also turning to God and knowing that God is there for you. One may say the music falls into a Christian category, but my intent is not for my music to strictly represent Christian beliefs. I want you to feel comfortable listening to my music, and I hope that it enables you to connect with yourself and your God. I tend to write about these things because they are what is most important to me in life and I want to open people up to that realization. I have always been hesitant to respond that I want to write and perform music and sell CD's when people ask me what I want to be when I 'grow up,' but now I can proudly say it because it is the honest truth.
